How 6x noise reduction calculations were made exactly?

Local Road Driving is 64 decibels and with ProGuard - 56 decibels.
Since decibel is a relative measure of power. It is computed by 10xLog10 (Power Ratio), where Power Ratio = Noise Ratio.

We reduced 8dB, this equivalent to 10^(-8/10) = 0.16 according to the formula. That means ProGuard reduced the noise by a factor of 6.25 = 1/0.16. So without the ProGuard, the noise is more than 6 times louder!

I installed these on my Tesla Model 3 2020. It has more road noise than expected but is considered “normal” by Tesla.
Pay CLOSE attention to the instruction extremely basic manual.. while very basic, it does guide you where to put the self adhesive rubber stripping.
I accidentally put one in the wrong place but there was enough left over stripping to save me. Also, use the included adhesion pads they help
After installation, i went for a test drive and the noise reduction is noticeable. I also think these will help seal out dust and leaves etc… and will do an update on that soon.

Perfect amount of length
Really like how well thought out each seal shape/lengths are. No issues with the 3m tape so long as you clean and prep surfaces properly. It helps to apply this on a warmer day and leave it in the sun to allow the adhesive to warm and seal onto the paint. Be sure to use the adhesive promoter after cleaning the surface. It does make a difference compared to applying without. There's a good foot or more extra length to each seal, so don't need to worry if you don't have enough to cover an edge.

I think the hardest seal to install was the front doors/fenders area, that one took a few tries to have the seal line up right. There is a noticeable difference in sound compared to before. Now the doors close with a more solid thunk and I don't hear wind/outside noise as much on the highway when going over 60mph.
